Well usb has charging capabilitys for cell phones, ipods, ect and is usually not used as an internet cable. Also most computers have a few USB ports. Now ethernet connection is used for connecting your computer to let say your router/modem to use internet. It is not used for much else at all. Hope this helped
Yes. Ethernet is designed for networking. USB is designed as a general interface for connecting devices to computers.
Depending on what kind of data is being uploaded, either connection could be faster than the other.
One can find out more about USB ethernet connections by visiting the 'How Stuff Works' website. One can also view reviews of USB ethernet products via the Amazon website for further information.
No, there is no difference in b type female connectors for usb 1 or 1.1 or 2
give the difference between serial port and parallel port
You do get a slightly faster connection with Ethernet over USB. This can range from 1% to 5%. The main advantage is not necessarily speed but stability. Ethernet is a much more stable connection. I highly recommend connecting via Ethernet. If your computer does not have an ethernet connection, you can purchase a card for around $20 and install it. It doesn't matter when dealing with a residential broadband connection. USB is around 11mbps and your internet is anywhere up to 3mbps. Its all a matter of what hardware you have to utilize. I prefer cat-5.
Ethernet is more reliable. USB speed depends on your CPU's load at the time, so if you are running a lot of programs at the same time, the available speed for USB ports is decreased, resulting in a slower connection. Connect with ethernet if possible. USB would be helpful though if you want to share your connection with, say, another computer of a gaming console through your ethernet. You could connect through USB and share through ethernet. But if you are just trying to connect to the internet with solely one computer, use ethernet.
A USB Ethernet adapter is in no means, a necessity for you to buy. However, it comes with benefits if you don't have a home based connection set up. They allow computers without Ethernets to hook up, a USB Ethernet and still have a home based connection.
A 1/8 inch connection is an analog signal and does not have the quality of a digital USB connection for the speakers.
Depending on what kind of data is being uploaded, either connection could be faster than the other.
A USB to Ethernet Adapter is a great device for a person who is looking to use a wired internet connection instead of Wi-Fi. Stores that sell a USB to Ethernet Adapter are Best Buy, Tiger Direct, Fry's Electronics, and Wal-Mart.
no u must use an ethernet cable or wireless internet For most people who do not have a wireless connection in their home they must also purchase at least a router to allow a connection between the cable modem and the PS3. An ethernet cable allows a wired connection between the PS3 and the router and if running a cable is a problem you need to purchase a wireless router. Although I purchased a wireless router I found that the wired connection worked better and the wireless router also had four wired connection spots on the back.
A router is a device that connects to your modem to share your internet connection with other computers. A wireless router uses a power cord and an Ethernet cable to connect from the modem to the router without the need of a connection between the router and the computers it's sharing the Internet connection with. A USB wireless router connects to the modem using a single USB connection that serves as both the power supply and data connection.
You don't connect a phone for an online PS3 connection. PS3 will only accept WiFi or ethernet connection and not a USB connection. This is a Sony quote from the related link about the connection:"Also the PlayStation 3 is unable to connect to the Internet through the USB port, it must be connected via an Ethernet cord or via Wi-Fi network. You will not be able to use a USB adaptor or a cell phone USB adaptor with the PlayStation 3."
You can not because the dongle requires a USB connection and the Sony PS3 USB ports can not be used to connect the PS3 to the internet. Instead of a USB port the WiFi or ethernet connection must be used to provide an internet connection for the PS3.
Ethernet has a faster transfer rate then usb.
Ethernet provides a much faster transfer rate. For normal internet services like DSL and cable, you wont see a difference between USB and ethernet. Ethernet is good if you have more than one computer networked and youre transfering data between the computers. As far as Virus protection goes, that all depends on the anti-virus software youre using, not the type of connection youre using. If youre wanting to make your downloads faster by connecting both USB and ethernet from the same modem, it won't work. You can, however, use 2 different internet providers and bridge the two connections together.
put a usb in your laptop and transfer your ethernet file to the usb then place it where ever you want to have ethernet
