I assume you're not talking about a Kindle Fire. If you are, let me know and we may have to try something a little different. For now, try plugging in the Kindle, waiting 5-10 minutes, then slide and hold the power switch. You should see the screen flash. It may take from twenty seconds to a minute, and then it will take a few minutes for the Kindle to reset. Once that is done, if the screen is still blurry then you probably have a hardware problem. If you're still under warranty (or even if you're not) call 1-866-321-8851 (assuming you're in the US).
