I do not know if there is a bill to terminate a support order once paternity is establish but I do know it can be terminated. My husband found out after a DNA test that his 10 yr old son was not his after all, so he went to court and the judge dropped the support order. His son is now 17 yrs old and he still loves him as his own and nothing in that aspect has changed but we are not obligated to pay another penny. We only do for his son as he needs and we want. That sounds a lot more ignorant than I intended it to, we love his son unconditionally and no DNA test will ever stop them from being father and son. After 10 yrs a loving a child as your own you just can't turn the love off. That will always be his son in our eyes.
The purported father must return to the court that issued the child support order and file the proper motions. He should consult with an attorney who specializes in custody issues to determine his rights and options under state laws.
No. A hospital bill is not considered child support. However, the court can require the father to pay the hospital costs for the birth of his child.
No. Sad but true. The parent receiving the support does not have to provide proof of how it is being spent. Child support is in place to help house, feed, clothe and educate the child. If it pays an electric bill, then that is what it pays.
It is unclear what is meant by "GI Bill" but a military retirement pension or disability award can be garnished for child support.
Her father is Bill Hamm
Day care is not considered child support.
You haul this deadbeat into court and the judge will order him to do whatever it takes to make good on his debt. He is already in contempt of court for not paying child support ... all the non-payments are added to the total "bill", which means he will be paying child support well beyond the time after the child attains age 18.
The mother should be responsible since she had custody. The child was under her roof and she should have to handle the situation. You just can't take the support and not be accountable for the child. If the father wants the child, the court should give him the right to have her at this time and the mother should pay him.
Cleveland agreed to pay child support even though it was far from certain that he was the father of the child. Harding admitted that he fathered a child with Nan Britton. DNA evidence shows that Jefferson or his nephew fathered a child by a slave, Sally Hemings.
If the daycare is for the father's child, yes, at least half of the daycare depending on father's income versus ex's income. If the daycare is for the ex's child by another father, no.
I believe that you should. Do you care what happens to your child when you are not there? Are you concerned about their health and well-being when you are not there? Of course you are. As the father you have a life-long responsibility for that child. Take care of them and love them.
you cant. child support is to help the parent support the child for example: pay bill and buy grocerys. plus it should be stopping soon if it hasn't already most child support payments stop at the child's 18th birthday or right after they graduate from high school
