Experimental Psychologists primarily study animals in testing labs (think of mice in a maze, or monkeys learning a new skill). This somehow relates to human psychology. You would be working in a university lab, writing reports about your findings. I don't think they deal with humans in these studies unless you were testing new drugs in clinical studies.
You should look for a book at the library or at amazon, on careers for psychology majors. Then try to contact people who actually have those careers and interview them or job shadow with them.
