No the only way a laptop can be different is that the system might be of higher technology. The gigabytes might store more or less memory depending on the year and brand you are dealing with or looking at but really there's no difference when they say PClaptop or laptop.

They aren't. They are susceptible to the same weaknesses. There is no logical difference between laptops and desktops. Only physical differences (CPU speed, form factor and size, etc.) Laptops do not introduce any more security risks than are common in desktops.
