There isn't really a difference between being raised by one parent or two. The difference comes from how much time and effort the parent or parents put into the child's life. Often single parents don't have the time or resources, but that can be true of two parents as well. Other things affect children as well, such as socioeconomic status, education levels, maturity levels, and development.
