This button is tripped when the car gets hit or jolted to prevent gas from continuing to be pumped from the fuel tank in the event of an accident. Mine is a black box with a red button on the top. If it's already depressed then there's no need to reset. The fuel reset button was located in the same place as Jim Miller's 2001 Mustang. Mine is a 1987 Mustang.
