You could try J.B Weld or use exaust tape to temporarily fix the problem.
you could have a small hole in your exhaust between your engine and your muffler....you can patch the exhaust or replace your exhaust
If the hole is smaller than a nickel, I would not worry about it. If the hole is on the bottom side of the exhaust pipe, it might actually be a good thing, as it would allow the water in the exhaust to drain out before it enters the muffler. Some newer cars have drain holes in the exhuast system to prevent things from rusting out quickly.
uh, a patch?
AnswerCondensation. The hot exhaust system is prone to do this, sometimes mufflers have a small hole in them to act as a drain. Don't worry about it.
If the pipe is in good enough shape you can weld over the hole, BUT If there is one small hole rusted in the system it is a good sign the pipe is rotted. There will be many other holes soon. There are probably more holes than you know about. You will probably have to have an exhaust shop put in a new pipe for you.
YOu can actually purchase a tent repair kit to fit your needs at most sporting good stores.
A small piece of material fixed to another,or to repair something by adding a piece of the same material.
patch
The exhaust pipe will need to be replaced, or, you can buy a quick-fix patch at your local auto parts store as a temporary fix. It's a treated "ribbon" about 2 or 3 inches wide that you can wrap around the exhaust pipe to cover the hole. The heat of the exhaust activates the chemicals in the "ribbon" to make it adherent. I believe the product is called a muffler repair kit.
It depends how small it is, but usually yes. The co will go way up.
Get it replaced. If you're really chap there's stuff called gun gum that can be used to patch it up temprarily.
Use a good quality cement and push the cement in as far as you can, if it a thru-hole, do the same on the inside, smooth one or both patches flush. If its below ground level apply a "Tar base material" to the patch after the cement dries, this will help in waterproofing the patch.
