This depends on how tight it may be. If it is tight then you should not force it back but try gently pulling it back each time you bathe or shower. If after a short while there is no improvement then you should ask to see your Doctor Who will be able to refer you for a circumcision.

It shouldn't be but if it is go see a doctor.

At birth and infancy the foreskin is naturally structured to the glans (head of penis). The two separate gradually during childhood, until the foreskin can be easily retracted. There is no one right age for this and for some young men it doesn't happen until 17 or 18 years old.

The foreskin of a child should be retracted only by the child himself when he is ready to do so, using force will cause pain. It can also cause bleeding, infection, scarring and adhesions.Ballooning of the foreskin when urinating is a natural occurrence and not a cause for alarm. It is an indication the foreskin and the glans are beginning to separate and helps to speed the progress, then disappears once the process is complete.

Once puberty begins most boys will assist in the separation process by natural self exploration, occasionally due to religious beliefs that forbids masturbation or just a tighter than average foreskin, a little help is needed. In these cases the foreskin can be loosened by

stretching twice daily using hand lotion or baby oil, or by stretching after each time urine is passed. This is normally complete within a month.

After warming the head of your penis in your hands, pull the foreskin forward several times then pull it back as far as it will go and hold it in this stretched position for several minutes.

When the glans becomes visible, grip it between thumb and fingers and roll the foreskin over the glans until the tight ring is white with stretching. Hold it in this position for up to 5 minutes.

Avoid trapping the the foreskin behind the head of the penis, if this occurs stop trying to stretch the skin as this can cause more engorgement, the only only way to release this is to grasp the head of the penis between your thumb and forefinger firmly enough to force the blood out of the head. If unable to do this on your own seek medical assistance as prolonged

Paraphimosis can cause permanent damage.

Rarely a short frenulum can cause failure of the foreskin to retract. Stretching seldom helps and a Frenuloplasty or snipping of the frenulum performed under a local aesthetic will free the skin.

If four weeks of daily stretching fails to release the foreskin from the glans or if the opening in the foreskin still appears too small. A hormone cream available by prescription can be massaged into the tight part of the foreskin inside and outside 2-3 times a day for at least a month combined with further stretching. In almost all cases this will mature the foreskin enough to be released.

As a last step a preputioplasty should be able to cure any tight foreskin where stretching and steroid cream application have failed. Under local aesthetic a small snip is made going up and down, it is then stitched side to side, leaving an opening that when healed will allow the foreskin to be retracted. Healing time is usually about 3 weeks.

For boys that have a foreskin (prepuce) it is natural for them to reach down at times and play with their foreskin, gently pulling at is and rolling it about between their fingers. It feels nice as the foreskin is high in nerves designed to give pleasure at being touched. The natural effect of this is that it gets stretched and becomes more supple. It also makes masturbation easier when they first start. In the 1850's Puritanical ideas infiltrated British medical thought and it was decided that masturbation was a harmful activity and was the cause of over a hundred different diseases ranging from syphilis to insanity, besides which it was a considered a sinful past time. so it was judged that the removal of the foreskin would deter boys from masturbating. it became all the rage and non religious presumably medical circumcisions caught hold in a big way in English speaking country's. The US is the last bastion for this activity as the marketing of pro circumcision lobby is still quite strong. In addition to the existence of a definite demand for baby's foreskins that are required for the manufacture of replacement skin as used in the repair of burns etc. and for the cosmetics industry where they are used in the production of hormones and other things. One infants foreskin can produce over $100.000 worth of product. In This lead to

situation where maters concerning the foreskin in the USA are fraught with deliberately placed misinformation and even their main medical body are cagey about not giving good advice regarding the subject. and with ignorance comes phobia.

Yes there is in some parts of society, especially in the sections that are influenced by religious convictions. they seem to have the idea that the sexual aspects of life are somehow subjects that should be taboo or at least ignored.

You have been reading up on stretching your foreskinand want to know whether it should be done while penis is erect or soft your foreskin is easily pulled back when soft?

There are a lot of scams selling products for "stretching" the foreskin. There is no scientific evidence that stretching is possible. If it were, problems like phymosis (or phimosis) (narrowing of the foreskin that prevents full retraction) would never happen.

What should you do if you are 16 and not circumcised and it makes sex hurt because the tip gets red and the foreskin doesn't go back and you feel cheated because of your parents' decision?

A tight foreskin is somewhat common in uncircumcised men. It is a problem that can easily be fixed without circumcision. The opening of the foreskin can be gradually stretched using a combination of stretching exercises and a topical medication. You can learn about how to stretch your foreskin by searching on Wikianswers for "How do you stretch your foreskin?" Gradual stretching works in about 95% of cases and allows you to avoid circumcision, which has a painful two to three week recovery period.

What is partial circumcision?

Partial circumcision removes only part of the foreskin. Partial foreskin may be used to treat phimosis (a tight foreskin) that does not respond to gradual stretching exercises with a corticosteroid cream. Instead of removing the entire foreskin, partial circumcision only removes the tight phimotic ring that prevents the foreskin from being retracted. Many men with phimosis prefer partial circumcision to complete circumcision as it retains most of the foreskin, which functions in several ways to increase pleasure during sexual activity.

During sex is it supposed to hurt when you are not circumcised?

No, sex should not hurt. Sex may hurt if your foreskin is too tight and can not slide up and down over the head easily. For information on how to fix this with gradual stretching exercises, search on Wikianswers for "How do you stretch your foreskin?"

Will it hurt to get uncircomsized at a older age?

You can't get uncircumcised if you have been circumcised as circumcision is the amputation of the prepuce or foreskin of the penis. You can sometimes re-establish a semblance of a foreskin with special stretching exercises over a long period of tom but it can not be restored to its former form or sensitivity.

Is it normal for the skin around your penis to get tight when you get erect?

This is called phimosis, where the skin of the foreskin becomes tight and sometimes painful. It can be alleviated by gentle stretching and if this does not help, surgery or circumcision can be indicated.

How can you get the foreskin back over your penis without going to the doctor?

Stretching it over time. Skin is very flexible, look at people who put the large rings in their ear lobes or a woman's belly when she is pregnant.

Will circumcision get rid of odor?

Circumcision prevents the accumulation of smegma under the foreskin. Smegma has an odor. Therefore if that is the cause of the issue. It will remove it. If the odor is caused by something else it won't. On balance it probably is. It is likely that you have some sort of infection that needs treatment as a healthy penis with or without smegma should not stink. If you are intact and your foreskin is uncomfortably tight but has been retracted then simply doing some foreskin stretching exercises will alleviate your problem.

How do you pull back the skin on a uncicumsized dick?

For men and boys that can not be foreskin that can not be pulled back to uncover the head of the penis the problem can be easily fixed by gradually stretching the foreskin over a period of weeks. Stretching the foreskin works in more than 9 out of 10 cases, making surgery to the penis and most certainly circumcision, unnecessary. Keep in mind that it is normal for infants and children to have a tight foreskin as a matter of fact when a child is born the penis is not fully developed yet and the foreskin is still fussed to the glans of the penis just like the fingernail to the finger and should definitely not be retracted. Most boys can retract their foreskin by puberty, but for those who can't, gradual stretching is an easy solution. When trying to stretch your foreskin,it is important to do it very slowly. It will probably take a little while to achieve results, depending on how often you stretch it and how tight your foreskin is. You will want to gently place a finger or two into the opening of your foreskin and gently apply continuous pressure. Make sure you do not feel pain. Pain indicates you are causing damage to the foreskin. Using a topical steroid cream is can be veryusefull when stretching. Clinical trials have shown that gently stretching the opening of the foreskin and applying a topical steroid cream twice a day is a very effective treatment that works in over 9 out of 10 cases. You should apply the cream to the tight part of the foreskin inside and out twice a day. It's also good to apply the cream while you stretch as this helps the medication penetrate the skin. Betamethasone cream 0.05% is generally used and works best. It is available by prescription from a doctor in the United States, and it is available without a prescription in some countries. (Betamethasone cream should be used if at all possible, but if it is impossible for you to obtain it in your area, hydrocortisone cream 1.0% could be used instead. However, the best chance of successful treatment is with betamethasone.) It is important to continue the stretching without skipping days. Just make sure you are not causing any pain, tearing or bleeding. Also, it is important to never force the foreskin back over the head. If the foreskin becomes stuck behind the head while you are hard, then is called paraphimosis. If the skin gets stuck back while you are hard and you can not get the foreskin back over the head, this is a medical emergency in some cases but before you rush to an emergency room make a fist around the glans penis and squeeze it firmly in your fist, this will reduce the size of the glans and allow the prepuce to go back over the corona ,If that does not work it wil pay to seek medical advice immediately. immediately. Here is a basic summary for how to stretch your foreskin: 1) Stretch the opening every day for 15-20 minutes twice per day. The more time you spend stretching it the faster it will work. 2) Go very slowly. Stretch it firmly, but don't make it hurt. If you feel pain or have bleeding or irritation, stop for a while and use less force. If you feel pain, you're stretching it too hard. 3) Use betamethasone cream 0.05%. Apply twice a day to the tight part of the foreskin. Applying the cream while stretching works well. 4) Never force your foreskin back. You don't want it to get stuck behind the head. That is paraphimosis, and it requires immediate emergency medical attention. 5) Be patient! It may take months for you to get your foreskin stretched enough to move on and off the head easily. Even though it takes a long time to stretch, its way better than getting circumcised, which requires getting your foreskin cut off, is painful, and makes your penis less sensitive to sexual pleasure. What it amounts to is playing with the foreskin of your penis, Rule number one is don't force it, After that it is helpful if you take advantage of times when yo are under the shower or in the bath. just about any hand lotion can also be helpful in making the fore skin more responsive to stretching. Men are all built slightly differently so you must be the judge of what feels best to you but there are basically two moves that need to be made , preferable a few times per day, one is to firmly get a hold of the end gently pull the skin outwards away from the penis hold it there for as long as you think is reasonable, and don't pull if it is too painful. then go in the opposite direction by puling the skin backwards onto the head as it increases in size, once again don't force it to the point of too much discomfort. Another thing that helps is to simply massage the foreskin by placing your thumb and fore forefinger around it and rolling the skin around., this is actually a pleasant pastime will give you an erection and further help stretch the foreskin. Once the fore skin has been stretched it will always remain in that condition. Get in a hot tub of water and just patiently work on it. Men were stretching foreskins long before anyone ever invented corrtisiods. just be gentle let pain be the barrier it is not supposed to hurt.

What is the medical term meaning surgical removal of the foreskin on the penis?

phimosis: narrowing of the opening of the foreskin (prepuce) over the glans penisThis can be overcome with simple foreskin stretching exercises.PhimosisphimosisIf the foreskin becomes narrowed to the point where it cannot be comfortably retracted, it is a condition called phimosis. There are several different techniques that could be used to alleviate this, including stretching, steroid cream, or circumcision. But if you are having trouble retracting your foreskin, you should have it evaluated by a trained physician, because the treatment depends on the particular person. For instance if you stretch it inappropriately, you can cause scar tissue formation, which would force you to get a circumcision.PhimosisThe incorect diagnosis of "Phimosis" in young boys is not unusual, aspecialy in the US where there is a culture that encourages Circumsicisionmost foreskin problems can be treated without circumcision as is apperent from the European experience where less the 3% on average are circumcised and many of those for cultural and religious reasons. The #1 rule for intact care is to leave it alone. The first person to retract a boy's foreskin should be the boy himself.Until then, just wipe it off like you would a your hands finger or rinseit in plain water in the bath.Once a boy can retract the foreskin himself, all he needs to do is "RETRACT it and RINSE it", in the shower or bath.phimosis

Is it good for you when the skin completely surounds the penis?

The penis of a newborn child has not entirely finished in its development and is usually at that stage still firmly attached to the glans penis like the fingernails are to the finger. this is a natural way for the penis to be and in time the foreskin comes away from the glans. there is no need to be concerned about it not retracting. the foreskin is likely to become retractable within the first few years of life but may take until or after puberty to do so. once the penis is used for sexual intercourse or masturbation however there are definite advantages in the foreskin being able to be retracted. and if it turns out that it is too tight to pull back over the glans and back again then it is time to undergo some "foreskin stretching exercises". just look up foreskin stretching on the internet and you will find many pages that will give you first class advice. The first thing to remember is that the foreskin is a very important part of the penis, its function, its protection and very importantly its performance for both yourself and your pardner. IF this about not being circumcised, then not being circumcised is perfectly natural and safe. Many millions of men live that way w/o any problem.
