Hawick is a gorgeous little town in the Scottish Borders that specializes in cashmere. I have had the honor of visiting twice and witnessed some wonderful local flavor. It also played a large part in keeping the British out of Scotland. In addition, a local band, Scocha (my favorite and I am American), have been honored to have received a listing in The Best 20 CD's in the World in 2012 with the release of Scattyboo.
