In the expansion Wrath of the Lich King, for World of Warcraft, one of the quest lines in Stormpeaks leads you to the Dwarven outpost of Frosthold. Here, a questline begins which leads you to Brann Bronzebeard and allows you to unravel what happened to Muradin.
As Muradin features in the Icecrown Citadel raid instance, it is well established that he is indeed found and is well.
The first hint that Muradin is not dead is a quest in the Eastern part of Dragonblight, near the Scarlet Enclave, where you discover the cave where Frostmourne was found. You will see a vision of the past and discovered what really happened when Arthas picked up Frostmourne...and after he left the cave.
