The word "Holocaust" means a huge and terrible fire. It probably came into use as a reflection on the incinerating of victims after being gassed, and the burning down of so many Jewish businesses and synagogues. Jewish people do not call it the "Holocaust", they call it the "Shoah", though I don't know what that word means in Hebrew.
it was a Gramophone record player that is a smaller version of a record player
The people in the holocaust did see the propoganda, but the propoganda was something to make people believe what you want them to believe. The holocaust was something that came unexpectedly. Germany was losing the war and so Hitler gave order for the remaining European Jews to be destroyed. These people in the concentration camps were stuck in a place and if one escaped a thousand or so members would be killed. And the members of the camps would tell the people in it that they were going to go to the showers or they were free but they were just lying.
Holocaust. It is estimated that six million Jews, were murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust
They did not exactly number the solutions, but after segregation came deportation or expatriation, then sterylisation.
German Holocaust victims came from all over Germany. It is not the case that the Holocaust was more thorough in some parts than in others. Some came from Berlin, some from Hamburg, some from Frankfurt, some from Bavaria, some from Hesse, some from Baden and so on.

The term the Holocaust only came into widespread use in the late 1970s after the showing of the TV miniseries with that title.
it was all kinds of things
The Nazis called their genocide of the Jews the 'Final Solution [of the Jewish Question]'. This term was, understandably, considered offensive by others, and gradually in the late 1970s the term 'the Holocaust' came to be adopted by historians. This term referred specifically to the estimated death toll of six million Jews. For the other groups massacred the usual term was '[victims of] Nazi atrocities'.However, when the U.S. embarked on creating the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum some other groups demanded the right to be included, and the figure (for all victims of Nazis atrocities) was hastily upped to 11 million. The figure of 11 million is most unsatifactory as there is no explantion, even in outline, of how it was arrived at. If it supposed to represent the victims of Nazi genocide it is too high, and if it is supposed to include all victims of Nazi atrocities, it is too low. There are, in effect, two competing definitions of the Holocaust.
