I found a remote for my 1997 Grand Cherokee on Ebay. type in the number "05014736". The remote if for the newer generation Grand Cherokee, but I took it to the dealer, and they programmed it for free.
It is located in the console on a 95 jeep grand cherokee.
On my 94 Jeep, you can disarm the security by unlocking the hatch with the key. So, you don' HAVE to buy a new remote, but it is more convenient than going to the back of the car and turning the key every time the security light comes on.
