I have had an ileostomy for 30 years,had ucerative colitis. The surgery gave me my life back, but the gas noise is still with me. Church, movies,broadway shows, quiet meetings, it always starts grumbling and tooting at quiet moments with people around. Since you cant control the noise because the doctor took out some parts, I just leave the room when I can, standing and moving pushes the air (gas) out. You will get used to it, and figure out that a action movie is better than a quiet love story, noise around you will mask the gas noise, and people wont notice. If they do, make a joke, say, was that you!
