No
sixteen named after Alexander the great Not sure about the rest, but my hometown Alexandria, Minnesota was not named for Alexander the Great. It was named for Alexander Kincade the first Post Master General of the area.
Ben Bruce.
They got their name while they were having a conversation about how to come up with it. The lead singer has a cousin named Alexandria, and they were having trouble on coming up with one, when the drummer said "Hey, Lets try asking Alexandria for a name." Then the lead singer stopped him, told him to repeat the sentence, and like the sound of Asking Alexandria, and boom. They got their name. ^ that whole story is a lie haha... ben bruce was in a different band and they were named asking alexandria that band broke up, so ben went and formed a different band but he liked the name asking alexandria so he kept it. there is no meaning behind the band name just a name ben bruce liked.
It was named to honour the conqueror of Egypt: Alexander the Great.
There is no reference to any saint named Andrew of Alexandria.
he is 20 years old
