Someone who washes their hands, 5x in an hour, every hour, everyday, then they have OCD. I believe you have OCD when your obsession corrupts your everday life. When ordinary operations take more time and effort, you're considered obsessive. However, it is a mindset that can be altered. It's curable, but it takes determination and desire to change. A process similar to smoking or overeating. I don't believe you are born with it because the youth don't seem to be victoms. Also, it's difficult to determine who is obsessive when we are a culturally oriented soceity where beauty and perfection scream at us left and right.Obsessive Compulsive Disorder [OCD] is a type of anxiety disorder. Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a form of anxiety disorder. It is noted by obsessions (persistent thoughts that produce fear, and general anxiety), and compulsions (repetitive behavior that is done by the individual in order to temporarily relieve obsessions). OCD is a fairly common disorder, especially in the US, and depending on the severity, can be treated with therapy, medication, or in very extreme cases, electroconvulsive therapy. It can be diagnosed using the DSM description, and rated using the Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale.
Both drugs are classified as SSRI drugs. However, Lexapro treats general anxiety disorder, and Depressive Disorders. Citalopram treat major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, Dementia Tobacco and Alcohol Abuse.

You must have symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in order to have it. This disorder is a comonoly misunderstood condition, often being excused as just being "clean". In reality, this is just part of the disorder. It also includes commiting repeditive rituals to prevent something "bad" from happening. As a general rule, in order for someone to be diagnosed with this disorder, their rituals must consume more than 10% of their day.
