Do you mean the teeth made of acrylic or the plate which holds the teeth made of it?

Of the alternatives which I know, you can have individual teeth or even all your teeth replaced by teeth which are screwed into your upper and lower jaws, but it's extremely expensive.

What is partial denture?

A partial denture is a metal and acrylic appliance that replaces missing teeth. It is attached to whatever remaining teeth are in the upper or lower arch. Valplast is the brand.

Do you use toothpaste on tepe interdental brushes?

You could, however it is not recommended. Toothpastes normally have abrasives added Into the formula to scrub the stains off your teeth. They work great for teeth, however dentures are made of acrylic - basically plastic. Acrylic is much softer than tooth, and over time toothpaste will scratch up your denture and make it lose it's glossy polish. It is better to scrub your denture with a soft denture brush and dish detergent to remove plaque and food debris, rinse well with water, and then soak in an effervescent denture cleaner over night to kill germs.

What is a valplast partial denture?

If you have full set of teeth on top can you where dentures on bottom?

Yes you can but I would stay away from porcelain teeth on that lower denture. They have a tendency to really wear away your natural teeth. Get good quality acrylic teeth for your denture and they will not devastate your opposing natural teeth quite as bad if at all.

What are dentures known as image teeth there are different kinds of dentures such as Acrylic plastic what is image teeth and are they worth the money?

AnswerI do not know the difference in Image vs. Acrylic. BUT, I was told by two different dental clinics that the Image dentures are the better of the two. Also, at a dental clinic in North Carolina the price is $270.00 more for the Acrylic full set ($885 vs. $615) . In South Carolina, the price is only $100.00 more for the Acrylic full set ($495 vs. $395).So, a logical answer to the "...are they worth the money" question is, it depend on the amount of the difference!More inputImage is a brand name of the high end acrylic teeth from Lincoln Dental. Generally high end acrylic teeth last longer than economy teeth. You may want to check out the companies claims of longevity.A high end denture made with quality materials and processed with conventional techniques is prefered over economy teeth with a quick cure processed denture. An example of high end acrylic teeth would be the already mentioned Image teeth by Lincoln Dental, Physoden by Vita, portrait by Dentsply, Ivoclar Blue Line by Williams Ivoclar. Processing techniques would be either an Injected Denture or a Packed Denture processed in conventional water bath for 9 hours at 73c. Or the alternative process of 90 minutes at 73c with a 30 minute boil. Anything less usually dramatically decreases the quality of the finished denture. There are faster techniques for processing a finished denture but the quality of the finished product will go down exponentially with the speed of the processing.

How does false teeth work?

Today, probably the most common material for denture teeth is acrylic A kind of "high-tech" plastic. Many years ago porcelain was the most common denture tooth material, but it is used far less today. Some dentures are still made today with porcelain denture teeth and the main reason being is they can be used to chew food easier. The drawback on having porcelain denture teeth is they will wear down your natural gum tissue faster because they do not absorb as well, the vibrations caused when chewing with your dentures. Denture Acrylic teeth absorb the impact vibration much better than porcelain. If your porcelain denture tooth broke, your porcelain denture tooth may have to be special ordered because most denture repair businesses just do not have these kind of teeth in stock because having them in stock is very costly as compared to acrylic denture teeth. If you have a loose or lost denture tooth and it needs to be repaired, you may want to visit www.denturerepairexpress.com where dentists inspect and repair dentures.

The saddle of a removable partial denture serves what purpose?

The saddle of a removable partial denture serves two purposes. First, it replaces the bone which previously supported your natural tooth and has resorbed after extraction. This supports your facial contours , shapes your sound chamber and provides a base of support to the partial in the areas where it will be riding on tissue to distribute biting forces. Secondly, it provides retention for the artificial premanufactured denture teeth through means of chemical bond with acrylic teeth and mechanical encapture with porcelain teeth. Typically the saddle is the pink acrylic part of a removable partial denture, but may be metal. flexible resin or another material. San Francisco Denturist

Is a denture mold the same as dentures?

A denture mold is part of the process in making new dentures. dentures are fabricated in stages: A mold or impression is taken of the anatomical structures in the mouth. The denture teeth are set in a wax material that is stable at mouth temperature, this allows the client to see the cosmetics of the denture and the clinician to check the bite. Once the decision has been made that everything is fine, that wax denture is then put into a flask with plaster. Once the plaster has hardened, the flask is placed into hot water which softens the wax, the flask is then opened and all the wax is removed. You then have a mould into which the acrylic can be placed. So the acrylic replaces the wax component and after processing the acrylic becomes hard. So the mold or mould could be either a term for the impression or a term for the flasking stage when you are making a mold or mold into which the acrylic would be placed to make the denture. We also use the term mold or mould in dentistry to describe the particular shape of denture teeth, teeth come in all shapes and sizes. The dentures themselves are the finished article worn by the client. Should you soak your dentures in household bleach?

Denture Acrylic is porous and soaking your dentures in bleach would allow it to soak into the pores. Even if you rinse them after you would not get it out. Bleach is toxic and should not be in your mouth. Use a proper denture cleaner

What is the best toothpaste for dentures?

You would want to find a dental professional that specializes in dentures. Do not go to someone who just makes them now and then. The more they made the better they probably are at it.Ask questions about how the denture will be processed. Injected or packed dentures with heat cure denture acrylic cured in a conventional method is the best. Find out what kind of teeth you will be getting and get a top of the line brand and pay some extra money for them if you have to.A good dental professional teamed up with a good denture technician using good materials is the best way to go. Just don't get someone that will throw a chunk of plastic in your mouth. The thinner, lighter and least intrusive denture would be the best so make sure its made with a fracture resistant denture acrylic.
