Funny. Who knows the date of something AND puts it in the "Beatles" category, but has no idea who it was? Incase you seriously don't know, it was The Beatles.
The Beatles American television debut was on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964.
After some 11 regional performances the first national TV show they appeared on was the 625 Show (BBC) on the 13th of April 1963. The Beatles' ffrst appearance on the US Ed Sullivan Show was on the 9th of February, 1964.

Their first US appearance was in spring 1963; Jack Paar ran a promotional film clip of them lip synching Love Me Do. They next appeared on a CBS Evening news report from Walter Cronkite's London correspondent on November 21, 1963.
While the Beatles had completely taken the UK by the end of 1963 it could be considered that they took the world in 1964 starting with their appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in the USA in February 1964.
The British band made it's first live US TV appearance February 9 , 1964 . They appeared on that date on the Ed Sullivan Show on CBS .
