not as far as I know.
242 is the first three digits in the vin number of a gto built between 1966-1971. 2=pontiac motor division 42= gto. A more indepth look at what the vin numbers mean can be found at http://www.gtoalley.com/gtovin.html
Check the VIN #. "242" is the GTO number.
No. The 2 42 tells you - Pontiac, GTO but you will need to get a copy of the build sheet for further information.
It's at the top, just to the rear of the tail pipe hanger. You will have to have the body off to see it.
there is no vin on the frame of a 67 chevelle.
as far as I know there is no vin# on the frame.
no, other than the one on the windshield they are all on the separate parts which you probably already know but they didn't start putting number on the frame until later on i think. Some started in 1968 but 1970 is when all American made vehicles were required to have the vin displayed on the lower drivers side of windshield.
vin on a 2005 yfz 450 is on frame by the shifter, unless the frame was replaced with an aftermarket frame, they sometimes dont have a vin number attached.
The VIN is on the neck of the frame
There is no vin number located anywhere on the frame of a 69 impala
No. Frame number and engine number are two differrnt things )
I don't believe there is a vin# on the frame, it's on the drivers door front pillar.
