Is there a way to cool off without a fan?
September 13, 2011 6:16AM
if u run ur wrists under cold water, ur whole body cools down, because that's where the blood is closest to the skin, then the blood gets carried around ur body, hence cooling u off. the same is true for ur neck.

Why is my 1996 chev cavalier air conditioner light is always on when you turn on fan is this normal?
There is no "fan" setting on cavaliers. You can set the temp all the way to cool and turn the selector to anything besides defrost (all the way right) or a/c (all the way left before "off" position) and that will kinda run the "fan". However, whenever you have the selector in anything besides "off", the fan is running. If you were talking about "vent", these cars do not have vent. But when it is set to either defrost (all the way right) or a/c (all the way left before "off" position), you cannot turn off the AC

How can you transfer heat from inner of machine to surroundings?
Originally machines that have any sort of heating problems come with a way of keeping the components that cause the heat to cool off. A way I suppose you could cool it off is to make a vent or partially open it somewhere to give the heat inside it an escape and a way to give it cool air if it doesn't already have a vent.

On a ground floor home there are three switches connected to 2 bulbs and 1 fan - how do you know which switch is for the fan and which are for the 2 bulbs?
You left out the most important parts of the riddle. The way the question is worded, all you have to do is turn one switch on, walk over to where the fan and the bulbs are, see which one is on, mark the switch, and do that two times. The way the riddle works: The switches are on the ground floor of the house, and the bulbs and the fan are on the 3rd floor. Now, how do you figure out which switch controls what, without climbing the stairs more than once ? -- Stand by the switches. Turn 2 of them ON. Wait 15 minutes. Then turn one of the 2 OFF, and turn the 3rd one ON. Then run upstairs and see what you have there. -- Whatever is OFF ... either the fan or 1 bulb ... belongs to the switch that's OFF. Now you only have to associate the 2 remaining switches with the 2 remaining items. -- If 2 bulbs are ON, then they belong to the 2 switches that are ON. One bulb is cool, and the other one is warm. -- If only 1 bulb is ON, then it's either cool or warm. -- A warm bulb that's ON belongs to a switch that was ON for 15 minutes before you ran upstairs. -- A cool bulb that's ON belongs to the switch that you turned ON just before you ran upstairs. You have identified all 3 switches with only one trip up the stairs.
