I have not seen an English major at the associates level, however that does not mean one does not exist. Those who intend to transfer to a four year institution after completing their associate degree typically major in Liberal Arts, or Communications which has a number of options.
You would want to check into the civil engineering degree first to see if the associate credits are going to be transferable. That way, when you look at the associates, you will know whether it will end up being more efficient to start at a community college and then transfer than to get an associates. Of course, if there will be some delay, then an associates may be the way to go.
One of the highest paying jobs is nursing which can be achieved at the associates level. Nurses can start with approximately $65,000 per year. This by no way means that other professions cannot reach top salaries in time, and with expertise and critical thinking skills.
No but you'll earn one about half-way to a 4 year degree in most majors anyway.
You can't. I think it is illegal to buy a degree. You have to learn to earn the degree, you cant just buy it. That way it would be a fake bribed degree.
Yes, most accelerated programs are 2 years shorter than regular programs. You can get an accelerated associates degree in ay ear.
Answer 1: All associates degrees take two years to earn if they're pursued "full time"......meaning the student taking 15 semester credit hours per semester, for two semester (or 30 semester credit hours) per year, for two years, thereby earning the associate's degree's typical 60 semester credit hours. A bachelors degree, by way of reference, is double that: 120 semester credit hours, which typically takes a full-time student four years. It matters not what is the subject. The associates degree, regardless of subject, typically takes a full-time student two (2) years to earn.
It could be an associates of arts (AA), an associates in science (AS), or an associates in applied science, depending on the institution, the business department and what their focus is for any particular degree. Typically, an associates in business administration is a transferable program designed for those wishing to pursue a bachelors degree. In this case, it is most likely and AA, however, it could also be an AS. It just depends on the curriculum layout and its focus. I know this does not answer your question, but you can check with the college (even on their web page) and find out what category the degree is placed under. Its relatively easy to do. Best wishes!!
If I understand your question correctly, the AA is a degree at the two year level and not a minor. If you take a bachelors degree, the associates would still remain a degree; a bachelors in elementary education, an associates of arts degree in early childhood education (which should be the way you would want it).
Yes it is. You can earn your degree online at your own pace. You can take the courses at night and still have you day job where you can earn income and still get your degree. You need to make sure the online school you pick is accredited
No, it's not required. It is one way of doing it, or you can go to a four-year school from the outset and go straight through for your Bachelors, either way.
It depends on your overall career goals and objectives. An associates degree is a great way to start. However, I would seriously consider transfer to a four year institution after completion of the associates degree to pursue your bachelors degree. It will open up more doors of opportunity for you. Acquire a vision of exactly what it is that you want to accomplish in terms of career goals, and your path will become clear.
You can indeed get a university degree that way. Infact, many working adults have no choice but to earn their degree going part time in the evenings.
