The Game Boy advance is not compatible with any home console systems as a controller.

You plug it in, in the front of the xbox. It's sort of tricky to get it in but it's not impossible, just frusterating. For a wireless controller there is a little button on the controller and another one on your xbox and you have to push them at the same time so that the controller is activated on that xbox.

Unfortunately it does not work on the original Xbox, however there may be some sort of household hacker styled way of enabling it to work on the original. It would be wise just to buy a classic Xbox controller. Hope that helped ;)
