A M38 Hardstock Automatic Air soft gun is smaller then a standard magazine. If you are looking to fit the gun inside a magazine Harper's Bazaar magazine is the thickest magazine.
It depends on the model.

An automatic electric gun would be the best
Air cooled, magazine fed, recoil operated, double action, semi automatic pistol.
i air soft alot..........i have many guns......................my most reliable gun i use is my m16 fully automatic
The automatic/semi-automatic mechanisms work because as a round is fired, it uses the gas and recoil from the explosion to re-set the gun. Air soft pellets are just pieces of plastic, and do not have any propellant, so they need gas or batteries to cycle the gun.
