Sears moved their company headquarters out of the tower many years ago and relocated to Hoffman Estates. Because they're no longer a major tenant, they didn't retain the right to have the building named after the company.
The original Sears Tower Building is in Chicago, Illinois. There are now company buildings in several other states and the original in Chicago has been named a national historic landmark.
