All planets that we know of are very different from earth. Temperature wise, mars is probably closest, but it is still quite a bit cooler. The atmosphere of mars however, is much more volcanic.
Quite possibly, but astronomers haven't discovered it yet. In spite of the millions of stars within the universe, it is likely that there are very few planets with conditions ideal for life such as we have on planet Earth.
Well its hard to predict, but if u believe it or not there are planets out there with the same likings as earth and to be honest with you if there wasnt any life out there then it would be a waste of space, wouldn't it hummmm??? like aliens there are hard to predict like we see flying saucers in the sky, but they just want to come and see us, as much as we want to go and see them........... you see they cant land here cause our oxygen levels are to weak or to strong for them, so it would poison them. But every star in the sky is a sun or planet and yes there is another planet like ours, but its to far away to get to it.
Yes, Venus was once known as Earths evil twin, Venus and Earth almost have exactly the same circumference, diameter and mass. They are almost exactly the same size except Venus is approximately 650km less then earth in diameter. So yes there is a planet similar to Earth, Venus. Also N.A.S.A has just discovered a planet in another galaxy that has the same mass and size as Earth.
No, earth is the only planet with proven life on it. This is one reason why it a one of a kind planet. Another reason is that it is the only planet with water on it. Even though there has been sightings of water on other planets they do not nearly come close to having as much water as earth does.
THANKS :)
Well, there's many gallaxies and probably millions of planets, so we don't know if there is another planet like Earth right now. We need stronger telescopes and better tecnology to find out. Based on the size of space, there has to be at least one other planet with living things, maybe not humans, but things like plants, or bacteria. Eventually, we will find out the answer to this question.
All of the other planets in our solar system are not very much like Earth, although Mars does have at least some similarity. So far we have not discovered any truly Earth-like planets anywhere. They may well exist, but if so, they are very far away and we have not found them yet.
there is another planet called wurpleType your answer here...
I'm not exactly sure, but it could be Pluto. Like I said, not completely sure if I'm correct.
Mars is the planet most like Mother Earth.
because the earth shape is not exactly round like a ball.
Ocean planets have been hypothesised, where the planet is dominated by water coverage and no land. An exoplanet (a planet in another solar system, orbiting another star) called GJ 1214 b is a possible candidate for an ocean planet.
None
The Earth Like Planet that was newly discovered in another solar system (no i am not lying they did find a new earth-like planets
yes Mars
No. Every planet is different from another.
no, but mars used to have fresh water, but no oxygen.
Yes, if you were talking about size and looking if they both have mountains. There is no planet exactly like earth, because other planets in space don't contain life or bodies of water.
Not discovered up today - 2011.
I'm not exactly sure, but it could be Pluto. Like I said, not completely sure if I'm correct.
In life-wise terms, no.
So far, no "planet like Earth" has been discovered. However, our telescopes are only barely good enough to be able to detect a planet the size of Earth that far away.
yes, if the earth was in orbit around another planet, it would be a moon. However, it wouldn't "come into" orbit around another planet, that's pretty much impossible. a trajectory change like that would kill all life on earth anyway, so it's not something humans will ever witness.
Possibly, but the new planet will not have any life forms. (Most likely.)
it is exactly the same as a planet but its diameter and mass are not great enough to be considered a planet.
