i dont know... what would it make? off white?
They are either purebred Bengal tigers (Panthera tigris tigris) that are albinos (the lack of orange pigment makes the tigers white with black stripes), or they are crossbreeds between white Bengals and non-white Siberian tigers (Pathera tigris altaica).
White tigers do not have horns.
White tigers are albino individuals of the Bengal tiger species of India, and occurs naturally but rarely among their populations. There are also Siberian white tigers which are crossbreeds between white Bengals and normal Siberians. (There is no record of a naturally albino Siberian, although that might provide an advantage in its natural habitat.)
Originally, white tigers were ordinary Bengal tigers (Panthera tigris tigris) that acquired a recessive gene for albinism, or lack of skin pigment. The lack of orange pigment makes the tigers white with black stripes."White Siberian tigers" are crossbreeds between white Bengals and non-white Siberian tigers (Panthera tigris altaica). There are no actual confirmed albino Siberians, although the coloration might substantially aid a Siberian in snowy climates.
no
The white tigers are bengals, not siberians, and none are currently in the wild. All are in captivity.
White tigers hunt the same prey as any other tiger, they are just genetically mutated bengal tigers!
no
yes there is
The white tigers are in fact mostly white, with black stripes. They are ordinary Bengal tigers* (Panthera tigris tigris)that have acquired a recessive gene for albinism, or lack of skin pigment. Rather than affect the entire skin, it only affects the portions that would be tiger orange, making the tiger's markings monochromatic. The tigers are very rare, and normally produced by the excessive inbreeding of small tiger populations in a secluded region.*The so-called "white Siberian tigers" are actually crossbreeds of Siberian tigers (Panthera tigris altaica) with white Bengals.
At present, there are no known white tigers in the wild. White tigers are only Bengal tigers, a rare color morph, and can appear in a normal litter at any time. They are not a separate species.
White tigers are only rare color morphs of the Bengal tiger, and can appear in a litter of normal cubs at any time. Currently, there are no known white wild tigers.
