If you complete a degree at a college or university that has a regional accreditation, then it is a valid degree. The benefit of taking a specific degree program of study depends on your personal career goals and objectives. Therefore, if you plan on transferring to a four year college or university for a bachelor's degree in the future (and you should because of the competition today), make sure you are taking a transferable program of study. You can inquire about this at the college you attend. Make sure you meet with an academic and career counselor for appropriate direction.

Answer Congratulations. You did it. You have a college degree. Great. But now to the serious side of finding work. Quite probably you are young, have no or little job experience and for the employer who will interview you at best you are a risk to the company. Not wishing to discourage you I'll explain. In today's fast paced society, a college degree doesn't mean much. I don't know where you are from, but in Canada where I am from it is highly recommended that you continue on to University to further your studies as today a college degree doesn't mean much in today's working atmosphere. Being a specialist in something, is far better than just having knowledge on something no matter what the job is that you will seek. With an University degree it will open many more doors than a college degree. In Canada and I don't expect that the United States is much different, but here you can't even get a job as a bank teller with a college degreee. 20 years ago a college degree meant far more than it means today so if you can, continue your studies, you won't be sorry when you land that high paying job you thought you'd never get. If you don't want to go to University that's up to you, but if you further your education and depending on what you may specialize in, you can almost name the dollar figure you want when you have that University degree in your hand.
