Well i am 12 and I have my own room. It is fun because you can have it what ever design you want and sometimes even kids need their privacy. Also what kid wants to sleep in a room with their pearents?! Kids need space. My little cousin is 2 and she has her own room. But with young children make sure you have a baby moneter thing and a barierr on the edge of the bed in case they fall out.
