Gliese 581g has been discovered recently and scientists and astronomers think that there could be life on it - as it is in the 'Goldilocks zone' - a zone where there could well be water and land on planets in this area.
Scientists have evidence of and say that a new Neptune sized planet lurks beyond the edge of our solar system. There has been no visual sighting of this planet. However it is probably so far out it will be very difficult to find given present technologies.
There are currently over a thousand known planets, most of them discovered recently; I would guess that currently, dozens of planets, perhaps over a hundred planets, are discovered every year.
They are categorized as "dwarf planets" now, leaving only 8 regular planets in our solar system. The names of all the dwarf planets are:CeresPlutoHaumeaMakemakeEris
Doppler spectroscopy is one method ; below are several links to information regarding how new planets are discovered or inferred .
light years and then some ;-)
No. Uranus is the twin planet of Neptune. The twin planet of Earth is Venus. There has also been a new planet discovered recently, 600 light years away, called Kepler-22b, which seems to be very identical to planet Earth.
Titan is not a planet; it is a moon of Saturn. It was discovered by Christiaan Huygens in 1655.
NASA has already discovered a new planet made out of water.

I believe they discovered a planet a couple of years ago, that they named Krypton, but i believe it has been downgraded since then to a dwarf planet or an asteriod. And I don't think it could sustain life. So no superman coming from that planet!
