There is currently no scientific evidence to support the existence of real "Ghosts".
However, if you are looking for an explanation that is not supernatural, there are many reasons why people "see" ghosts - vibrations of the retina can cause shapes to form before the eyes, often caused by extractor fans or generators. electromagnetic fields effect upon the human brain, temperature changes, lighting - even tectonic movements. If you are a rational person, I am sure you will agree that if ghosts (the spirit of the dead version) existed, we would be knee deep in them, considering how many people have lived and died. It also raises the question of the human "superiority complex" - life has existed on the earth for millions of years, humans, in their current form for a mere 4 million years - what quality do we have that allows us to live on past death? its ideas like this that quickly kill the idea of ghosts and the afterlife - its just wishful thinking, and our overwhelming fear of death and the unknown.

∙ 12y agoI have formulated a theory of my own using my own imagination and understanding about the universe, physics,and cosmology,but i still did'NT provided a mathematical representation and explanation for my theory.In my own understanding, I believe that the existence of ghosts or the illusions of ghost are created by the means of a hypothetical and theoretical process I would like to call a "dimensional space clash". You see there is a theory about the possibilty of the existence of mutiverses.Generally,there are 4 stages of multiverses.My theory involves the 3rd stage multiverse.It is a kind of multiverse where it shares the exact same space of another universe in the exospace,but cannot interact or cannot be noticed by species in one of the universes and relative to one another because both of the universes are separated together by a dimension of space(could be a dimension higher than the current known 4 dimensions).So if it is possible that if a part of space of one of the universes(for example our own universe)clash with the dimension that seperates both of them,and the other universe does the same and both prts of the universe will partially clash with one another,or if it is possible that in some cases two universes (for example, one of them is our universe) are both bounded within a separate dimension, and both dimensions would partially clash with one another,then in my point of view and in my understanding ,it could just be theoretically plausible for illussions of ghosts to occur or probably partial or minute amount of interactions with the parallel univrese.
