I know you can remove it from Vegetables.
First rinse off all the ice off of the veggies. Soak in water with 1/4 to 1/2 cup baking soda. for 30 minutes Pour water out and rinse veggies then Soak in water again with baking soda rinse and repeat until the freezer burn soaks out of veggies. I have saved many freezer burnt veggies.
Throw it away and use fresh products. Even in a sauce, the flavor will not be up to par. Although freezer burn can take the taste out of food it is not dangerous to eat. Use herbs, garlic powder or onion powder, meat marinades to bring up as much as the flavor as you can. This should only be done if the person can't afford a lot of food or they are just eating it themselves. Don't use this on guests!
Freezer burn is where all the moisture in a certain area of the meat is leeched out by the freezing process. Over time, if the meat is not protected with a vapor lock or airtight container, It will become freeze dried, having no water content. When this happens to meat, the cell wall is destroyed and the meat is destroyed or not fit to eat. You cant get rid of it after it happens, but it can be prevented. Repeat after me: The ziplock freezer bag is my friend. I have never had freezer burn with chicken, pork, fish, beef or seafood using the following method. Take whatever you are going to freeze and place it on a cookie sheet with a piece of wax paper on it, wax side up. Place in the freezer and freeze until frozen solid. Separate into portions and place in a ziplock bag and fill the extra area with ice water. Squeeze out any remaining air and lay flat in the freezer. It will freeze faster and it takes less time to thaw out in warm water in the sink. Instead of water I sometimes freeze the meat in the marinade I plan on cooking with. It saves a step. Hooweestik.
Once you have stirred the burned portions into the food, there is no way to recover. Best go with Plan B for the meal. However, if the burned portion is on the bottom of the pan, carefully spoon out the remainder without scraping the solidly burned portion, and place in another pan. Remove any burned pieces if you end up transferring them. It may taste okay.
Freezer burn is a dehydration of foods by freezing. Rehydrating the food by boiling will help a little bit, but not completely. the food is not dangerous to eat but the texture and taste do suffer. Most cooks cut off and discard the portion that is freezer burnt. Using this portion in soups, instead can reduce the waste.
What happens is ice forms in the fibers of the food, because ice expands, it spreads the fibers apart. Because water can evaporate at any temperature, this ice, if exposed to atmosphere, can and does evaporate leaving the dried fibers behind. Vacuum packing and air tight containers reduce freezer burn. The longer it is frozen the more likely it'll be "freezer-burned". Flash frozen foods ( quickly frozen at temperatures below -40F) are less likely to get freezer burn because the ice crystals are smaller than those in slowly frozen foods.
Put baking soda in the refrigerator to eliminate odors.
There is no way to take away the freezer taste from foods frozen too long...most likely it has freezer burn

burn it...
If your food has burned, carefully remove the burned places and toss them. If you have already stirred the food, mixing in the burned areas, or it has simmered with the burned food, then it is unlikely that the food is going to be edible. The burned taste will permeate all of the dish.

Removing the dank smell of food from your home takes some open windows and plenty of Lysol. First keep the windows open for as long as possible to dry the air and remove the smells. Then, spray all surface areas, including the garbage can, with Lysol.
