Don't leave your kids.

Your kids need and deserve that money up until they are 18. There is no way to avoid it. Even if you try to it will get docked from your paycheck or added to the taxes that you have to pay. Don't try to avoid helping your kids, you have probably hurt them enough already.

Don't have children. If you do, expect to pay for them. If you don't support the kids you bring in to the world, then the rest of us have to.

If by "government money" you mean public assistance, the answer is yes, but you will have to cooperate with the State in getting a support order for the child's father.

Is there a way to stop receiving child support legally and keep your ex out of trouble?

No, there is no way to legally "opt out" of child support. If a court order has been established for child support, the obliger is required to continue paying, regardless of whether or not the recipient wants to continue receiving payments.

One way is if the child is adopted by someone else who is willing to become responsible for supporting the child. Otherwise you need to petition the court to modify or terminate the child support order.

Not legally. It has to be approved by the court, otherwise at any time she can file retroactive child support against, or welfare will if she ever goes on it. You could sue for breach of contract, but only if she has any assets worth taking.

I am 15 but the same thing happened with my real dad and me.. If you don't owe child support then you should be free.. Get the court's approval for this first. Otherwise, you might end up paying twice. The best way to pay child support is to the courts or your State's disbursement unit.

No, a person will not be ordered to pay child support on any children that are not his. The only way a person would be ordered to pay child support a child who is not theirs is if they had legally adopted that child.

Do you have to make your child's father pay child support in order to receive financial help?

If you are talking about help from the state, then not exactly. The way it works is that if you obtain help from the state, the state gets to try to collect your child support to reimburse itself for what the state is paying you.

How do you stop child support when the child lives with non-custodial parent paying?

File for a change of custody. File for stopping child support. Contact the local agency to whom you actually pay the child support.**Additional Answer**The way the US child support system works is, in a nutshell...A Court/Judge 'ordered' the support to commence, for a certain amount/time, when things were first established with the support agency. That particular Court/Judge is the proper place/ones to contact to get the court's 'Support Order' changed or to cancel it. A Judge will have to 'order' the support be changed or terminated.

Do you have to pay child support if your x-wife gets married?

Yes! Your child is yours forever, they are not the ones getting married. The only way you will not be paying child support is if you sign away your rights and her new husband adopts your children. Is this really worth you never seeing your child again?

A father is paying child support He finds out that his 18 year old daughter legally changed her name Does he still have to pay child support in New Jersey?

Changing ones name does not change ones paternity. If the child support order is in effect, the only way to change it would be by court order.
