Interstate sales against C Forms were liable for taxation at the rate of 3% with effect from 1.4.2007 and at the rate of 2% with effect from 1.6.2008 and the interstate sales not covered by C Forms were liable for taxation at the rates under Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax Act 2006 with effect from 1.4.2007. As the TNVAT rates were increased from 4% to 5% and from 12.5% to 14.5% interstate sales not covered by C Forms which were assessed at the rates of 4% and 12.5% upto 11.7.2011 will be liable for taxation at the rates of 5% and 14.5% respectively with effect from 12.7.2011. Thus the CST rate of Tax for interstate sales not covered by C Forms will increase 1% and 2% and there will be no change of CST rates which were covered by valid C Forms.

What is CST RATE in karnataka?

CST, or Central Sales Tax, in Karnataka is a tax levied on the sale of goods that occur in the course of inter-state trade or commerce. The rate of CST in Karnataka is generally set at 2% on the turnover of sales, provided the goods are covered under the Central Sales Tax Act. However, businesses must adhere to specific registration and compliance requirements to collect and remit this tax. As of my last update, it's important to check for any changes in rates or regulations with the Karnataka government or relevant authorities.
