There is no exact "cure" for anorexia, particularly since it is a mental disorder. There are certainly numerous "cures" or treatments for the physical affects of anorexia, many which involve nutritional aid, medications, IV fluids, feeding tubes, and sometimes in-patient hospital care. For the mental affects, the only treatment is therapy. It comes in many forms, including individual, group, family, online, and self-therapy. With successful therapy and support from friends and family, many anorexics can recover and live a normal life.
There is no perfect "cure" for anorexia. Recovery is a very long and difficult process, and many people suffering from any form of an eating disorder often relapse at least one time in the future. Anorexia is treated based on the severity. For all cases, there is therapy. Treatment can be in-patient or out-patient (more common). Based on needs, sometimes there is medical intervention ranging from dietary supplements to hospitalization and feeding tubes/IVs.
To eat and to go to the doctors, they can help you through this disorder hope this helped :)
IV / Feeding tubes are really only used for very serious cases of anorexia for in-patient hospital treatments. They help restore a healthy weight and nutrition to an anorexia. Therapy is what really "helps" / "cures" the mental illness, though.
Anorexia is worse than strep throat, by far. Strep throat is (usually) a short term illness that is treated with medication and a doctor's visit. Anorexia is both a physical and mental illness in which the anorexic person believes they are fat and starves themself and overexercises to lose excessive amounts of weight. Anorexia is not always curable, and severe cases require months on end in a hospital or in an outpatient treatment care center. Anorexia can be a lifelong, deadly disease, while we have developed cures and treatment options for strep throat.
