Big Bang Cosmology (BBC) is a hypothesis that, many billion years ago, the space of our Universe began to expand and has been expanding at a (fairly) constant rate since then. This hypothesis makes certain predictions about what we would observe today, and alternative to BBC state that we should see something quite different. None of the predictions made by alternatives are seen, and all of the following predictions are observed:

1) Hubble Expansion showing a Universe that was infinitely dense about 13.7 billion years ago.

2) existence and isotropy of cosmic microwave background radiation.

3) ratio of hydrogen to helium in all parts of our Universe.

4) ratio of radioactive isotopes to their decay products showing none of the former being older than about 12 billion years.

5) no nearby quasars.

To say there is evidence to say BBC is true, is like saying there is evidence that interplanetary gravity is true.

Why was the Big Bang neither big nor did it bang?

According to the believes of physics and the big bang, we know that the big bang was both big and a bang. Since we are still receiving radiation from the big bang, So considering that factor I would say that it was big and a bang. What do you believe?

What religon believes the big bang?

I think it's Evolution. But it's not true, if that's what you're asking. Jesuit priest George LeMaitre first developed the Big Bang Model, so I would say that the Christian faith can accept the Big Bang. Some Muslim scholars now insist the Quran predicted the discovery of the Big Bang.

Why do people say that the big bang created the world?

The Big Bang is just another theory.

What made the world God or the big bang?

Christians say that God made the world; Most scientists accept that the world (universe) began with the "Big Bang". Scientists who are also Christians would say that God created the universe by means of the Big Bang. But people of other religions say that it was their god who made the world. There is no evidence that one religious belief is more true than another. For more information, please visit: http://christianity.answers.com/theology/the-story-of-creation

Does big foot exist?

Yes. It is true to say that the big foot exits in the world.what is the best evidence today that big foots exist

Why is the big bang theory a mystery?

The Big Bang theory isn't a mystery: the scientists working on it know exactly what they mean by what they say.

What does big bang explain about the universe?

The big bang theory is just a theory, in the same way that gravity is "just a theory," that was made by evolutionsist that attempts to explian the earth comming into existence by a big bang. Some Christians believe that it is false and that God created the world. Others, like Jesuit priest George LeMaitre, believe it to be true -- mainly because he INVENTED the hypothesis! Since it was developed, the Big Bang Hypothesis has passed every experimental test, including the prediction of the Cosmic Background Microwave Radiation. Every other hypothesis has to say, "I have no idea WHY the CBMR is there, it just is." That's why the Big Bang has been elevated to a theory, like gravity, and all other ideas are hypotheses unsupported by any evidence.

Is the Big Crunch a trust-able theory?

The Big Bang theory is widely supported by astronomers and astrophysicists, because there is considerable evidence for it; the 4 degree Kelvin cosmic background radiation, the fact that space seems to be expanding and the evidence of the red-shift of far-away galaxies. This doesn't make it TRUE; we will probably never be able to PROVE that the Big Bang happened. But the evidence is consistent. For the Big Crunch hypothesis; Not so much. One of the fundamental beliefs in physics is "symmetry"; that everything balances. It is an elegant belief, but is not always supported by evidence. Unfortunately for the Big Crunch, there seems to be little actual evidence. Yes, it would make nice symmetry, a lovely balance, a nice closure to the Big Bang. But of evidence we have seen little. Right now, the observable universe seems to lack anywhere near enough mass to cause the universe to slow its expansion and collapse back upon itself (perhaps creating the next Big Bang). One of the arguments for "dark matter" is that if there is massive amounts of dark, unobservable matter, that this might "close" the universe and bring about the Big Crunch. But without more evidence, this is a circular argument. So, I would say, "No, this is not a trust-able theory." The better answer is, as it often is, "We do not know.".

What does the big bang theory say about the movement of galaxies?

The Big bang theory states that the galaxies are in fact moving away from each other

How does the big bang theory tie in with religion?

Not at all. The Big-Bang theory gives a possible explanation of the origin of the universe based on some evidence. Religions do not base their ideas on logic or evidence. There are as many myths and creation stories as there are religions. They say they are given the stories by their gods, but they can't all be right since they have different stories, so I think they just made their stories up.

What are the main colors of big bang theory?

No one can say. It's just a theoretical explosion that scientist speculate may have occurred long before man was here to witness-assuming it happened. **** Actually, the Big Bang was not an explosion -- it was an expansion. To say scientists "speculate" about, or that it is "theoretical" it is like saying they speculate that our Earth "theoretically" goes around our Sun. Both these facts about our Universe make several predictions about what we would see if they were true. If ANY one these predictions happened to turn out to be false, then scientists would be questioning whether the Big Bang occurred. However, ALL of them have been observed just as predicted by Big Bang Cosmology. To say that the Big Bang "may have occurred" is like saying Anasazi civilization "may have occurred" before anyone was able to write about them. Both cases -- the Big Bang and the Anasazi -- left a LOT of evidence of their existence. Only two groups of people would say that scientists "speculate" the Big Bang "may have occurred" and "assuming it happened": 1) Those totally ignorant of science. 2) Those trying to spread ignorance of science.
