There is some gold inside a printer if you look at certain contacts. However, there is so little there that it would not be worth even $1 if you reclaimed the gold from a couple dozen printers. The reason being that the gold is not solid but, instead, just a gold plate which is only a few microns thick.

∙ 12y agoI took one apart completely. It was a Brother. I don't want to be to specific, but I can honestly say I didn't find a drop of gold inside of the old beast (from 2004).
