The geography is really flat with lots of mountains
There are no major mountain ranges in Israel proper. There are numerous hills and lowland areas in Israel, but no mountain ranges. In the West Bank, there are the Judean and Samarian Hill-Country which rise up from the coastal lowlands, but these are both not in Israel nor are they typically considered tall enough to be mountains. There are also the Anti-Lebanon mountains that run along much of the Syrian-Lebanese border. These just extend to the Israeli-Occupied Golan Heights, which results in Israel having some mountainous terrain in the northeasternmost corner of the area.
rivers and mountains kept ancient Isrealies in the spot they are in today but many wars have almost fled them out
In the north there is mountains, in the south and central it desert. Along the water there is beaches. Hop that helps!:)
That's IsrAel. Plains (Coastal), valleys (Jezreal), deserts (Negev), badlands (Judean Wilderness), rolling hills (Shefela), low mountains (Galilee), alpine (Mt Heirmohn), giant craters (Mitzpe Ramon). And more.
Ezekiel is exhultant that the Jews will soon be returning home to Judah. In this passage, he says rhetorically that the mountains of Israel should be told that they will once again be bearing fruit for the people of Israel.
