Nothing is really free. There are always ramifications and risks.
Certainly, there are "free" registry "fix" programs, but you need to assess what the problem is, and you need to "guess" that the "free" program is safe to run.
It is better to backup and fix the registry yourself. This means learning how it works, but that is better (in my humble opinion) than taking a risk on a poorly written or malicious program.
Bigger questions... Why do you need to fix the registry? What about restoring your computer from backup? You do have a backup, don't you? Hmmm...
PC Preformer has been rated as a rogue spyware. It reports fake or mostly untrue (some true some fake) errors about your computer's registery to entice you to purchase their software, which doesn't actually fix anything. There are many, many free versions that are trusted such as CCleaner (yes, 2 C's) that actually do scan and fix your computer registery problems as well as other housework.

Lets say you have Microsoft Word installed on your PC. Microsoft Word is a program. in every program there are bugs or program crashes. A Patch is there to fix those issues. A program patch will basically go and edit the program in order to fix those issues. Thanks, Zmo
AnswerI believe you are actually referring to a program called PC Fix which is a fake anti-malware program. Fix PC is a potientially unwanted program or PUP. Meaning it doesn't overtly violate your privacy or corrupt your files but it aggravates the user or is misleading. In other words, it is a scam and you need to get rid of it. I recommend using Avast Free Antivirus. Just google it and go to Avast's website. Download Avast Free antivirus. Before you run a full system scan make sure you check the box next to "Scan for PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs).
Previously i am used McAfee AV, Totally Worst antivirus program. Now i am using Free Antivirus from Comodo, It's doing good.
