El Dorado (Spanish for "the golden one") is a legend that began with the story of a South American tribal chief who covered himself with gold dust and would dive into a lake of pure mountain water.
The legend originates in the Andes mountain region of present-day Colombia, where conquistador Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada first found the Muiscas, a nation in the modern day Cundinamarca and Boyacá highlands of Colombia, in 1537. The story of Muisca rituals was brought to Quito by Sebastián de Belalcázar's men; mixed with other rumors, there arose the legend of 'El Dorado' (meaning the Golden Man rather than a place - 'el indio dorado', the golden Indian or 'El Rey Dorado', The Golden King).
Possible source of the legend was golden palace Coricancha, in the heart of the Inca Empire, which had everything covered in gold, including golden garden with statues and even flowers made out of gold, abundant in the Inca world.
El Dorado Hills is a city, in El Dorado County, in California, about 40 miles east of Sacramento. This is a "golden area" too. It is beautiful, the homes there are generally larger than average, and average household income is high.
A dorado
Somewhere in the world, there is probably a place called Stone Middle School.
In Voltaire's "Candide," the city that Candide and Cacambo discover in a secluded valley is called El Dorado. This utopian place is characterized by its immense wealth, happiness, and absence of suffering, contrasting sharply with the hardships faced by Candide throughout his journey. El Dorado represents an ideal society, free from the corruption and misery present in the outside world.
not really
no
Dorado are extremely rare and valuable. In summer, find a large shadow in the water and catch it. It might be a dorado, it might be an arapaima, it might be a snakehead, or it might be a gar. All are rare. If you get a carp go for a larger shadow.
no
that is not a really nice thing to ask.
yes.
Depends... Is a dog really a dog? Or is it a cat? The world is a confusing place.
The place you seek is England.
