You can use science to study everything especially the foods we eat. Lollies (the sugary kind) are especially interesting. For instance this form of sugar is called glass state sugar. It is really a liquid that is very very thick so thick in fact that the molecules of sugar and water in the lolly cannot move. Since the sugar is not crystallized light can pass through it without bending every which way that is why it is clear. Over time a lolly can start to crystallize this is why sometimes you find a very old lollies that is white or coated in a whitish substance this is crystallized sugar. All these facts should make you wonder about even simple things like a lolly. If you think of a question like say "what would happen if I add some acid to the sugar before making a lollie? You can try to answer this question by asking someone or by using the scientific method to find out for your self. Now the science of ice lollies, that is my favorite subject.......
