Yes. Domesticated rats will make great pets ( they can learn names too ) and bond easily.
Wild rats on the other hand will sometimes bring fleas and sickness so stay away from them. So don't go into your basement and pick one up if you see one ( no mater how cute it is.)and i have two rats so i know.
