You could have an inner ear infection if you are experiencing dizziness. You will need to go to a doctor to be diagnosed especially if you are having pressure in the head.
not nessessarily
By deadening that part of the brain that controls balance.
If the vestibulocochlear nerve is damaged, it can cause dizziness, nausea, and a loss of balance. It is also known as the auditory vestibular nerve.
Dizziness is caused by lack of stability in the balance canals associated with the ear structure. We also have some balance sense associated with the stomach and when this disagrees with either visual signals, or with the ear balance signals, we don't know what to believe. Thus we don't know which way is up.
veritgo
Individuals with nonsyncope nonvertigo dizziness feel as though they cannot keep their balance
Yes, if the ear infection affects the semicircular canals in your ear that help you keep your balance.

I think so. I know that you can get dizzy and pass out by anxiety attacks, so you should also have balance disorders. I myself suffer from anxiety that thru the years has taken many different forms, at the moment I feel this odd sensation from time to time of slight dizziness, but not the type where the room spins, but the type where you feel a bit "tipsy" for the lack of better words. A bit unbalanced, but not alot and def. not enough to fall over, but the fear of losing your balance and landing on the floor is enough for the anxiety attack to persist. After a while either it naturally goes away or I manage to occupy my mind on something else and I'm fine until it happends again or rather the anticipation of happening again, I can get it when I know I'm about to go out, fear of losing control in public etc. Long story short, yes, atleast for me. But that being said, it's not sure if that's necessary the case for you too or that my problem is strictly anxiety.
They cause loss of sensation, loss of stomach contents and loss of balance, respectively.
A posture stability, balance organ called the semicircular canal is located in the ear. An ear infection can disrupt the function of this organ and cause dizziness.
