All peer-to-peer (P2P) sharing software provides a very easy route to getting a virus or trojan. This is because some users are sharing illegal material and either don't know it is illegal (which makes them ignorant of other computer related issues) or are malicious (trying deliberately to infect other computers knowing this is a good method).
Of course, many sharers are sharing good, legal material to benefit everyone; but you only need one "bad" user to poison the entire barrel.
Once you have caught a virus via P2P, it will share itself via P2P. You have no easy way of knowing which sharers or files are infected. Unless you know how to protect yourself and others with a high degree of technical expertise, it is usually better to avoid certainly illegal P2P sharing and often most other types.
no but its possible
At the top of the LimeWire screen, click on the word "Help" and then on "Using LimeWire". ANSWER: IT'S ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, if you get caught using LimeWire you can get in lots of trouble. LimeWire says that it isn't illegal but it's not true. :(
Using Limewire is not illegal. Limewire is a P2P file sharing utility. If you share files which are copyrighted and without a licence or permission then that is illegal.
Many people use LimeWire. I would expect it to be over 1 billion people using LimeWire. (This is just an estimate...no real facts were put into this)
Yes. Its very easy to track somebody through limewire.
Limewire itself is safe. However the files you download using it may not be.
Limewire is a desktop aplication. You can't download it to Firefox. However, you can download Limewire to your computer using Firefox. Just go to Limewire's official website and click at the download link.
limewire is bad for your computer, it gives you viruses. i would suggest not using it
Yes, LimeWire can work when using WiFi, as it relies on an internet connection to function. If your device is connected to a stable WiFi network, you can use LimeWire to share and download files. However, keep in mind that LimeWire is no longer officially supported, and using it may expose you to security risks and copyright issues.
People dont need to be using limewire because the share the music!
Try using Limewire Pro , that might help , if not try using a different P2P program such as Emule, Bearshare, and Ares.Hope this helps :D
