Sir/Madam,

Sub: Higher Education- Offering of M.Phil / Ph.D. courses through Distance Education by Universities - Dispensed with effect from the year 2007-2008 - Orders - Issued.

In the Vice-Chancellors Meeting held on 21.6.2006, under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Minister of Higher Education the issue relating to disensing with the system of offering M.Phil. / Ph.D. courses through Distance Education was discussed in detail. The Government after careful consideration direct all the Universities under the aegis of Higher Education Department that M.Phil / Ph.D courses should not be offered through Distance Education from the academic year 2007-2008 and they should be offered only in the Regular Stream.

yes, certainly tis university is approved by ugc . Most of the students from kerala undertook various cources thru vinayaka misssion and placed abroad
