You should be able to do this. If you think about it, many houses today are faced with brick or stone on the front rather than siding. The siding would all need to be removed, and the proper surface preparation so that the brick adheres.

brick veneer is permanent and could be painted and or sand blasted,,,thats all your options,,, I'd much rather have brick than vinyl siding,,,although brick is probably five times the price of vinyl and you probably would recoop every penny upon installation...I would compare formica to vinyl and granite to brick,,,vinyl is semi pemranent and could also be painted with special paint and or using amulsa bond additive

Where can I find samples of vinyl siding materials?

Vinyl siding is a flexible, plastic material shaped to look like painted wood siding. Almost every home that isn't brick, stone or stucco has vinyl or aluminum siding. You rarely see anyone install aluminum siding any more because vinyl keeps its looks longer and needs virtually no maintenance.Unless you prefer (or can afford) brick or stone, your builder is probably suggesting the right choice. If you go into any home improvement store, such as Menards or Lowes, you can ask to be shown vinyl siding and they will be glad to show you and answer your questions. If you're unable to do that, you can go to their websites: menards.com or Lowes.com, and look up 'vinyl siding'. I bet you'll love your home's new look!

Vinyl Siding And Other Home Exterior Surfaces?

If you are building your own home or picking a house a live in, then one of the qualities you should pay close attention to is the home’s exterior surface. The exterior will be a source of expense and value depending on which surface you choose. Today, the most commonly used surfaces are brick and vinyl siding. Both surfaces have benefits and consequences that persuade you to go in one direction over another. Throughout history, brick has been a symbol of wealth. The older universities and homes of the rich in history have deeply colored bricks on the exterior of the home, on the driveway, and around the landscaping. Brick has been a symbol of wealth because it is an expensive material to have on a building. It is expensive not only because of the procedure that is necessary to produce the material, but also because it is an arduous task for the bricklayer. The same fact is true today. Brick homes usually cost more than vinyl sided homes because they require more labor. Additionally, brick is a symbol of strength because it is sturdy. Houses with brick exteriors rarely see the kind of damage as those with vinyl siding. A brick home has much value, and they are easier houses to sell. Even in tough economic times, brick houses sell because of their value in the long term. Although brick is a material that symbolizes wealth and strength, you should also consider vinyl sided houses as well. You can personalize a home with vinyl siding because you can choose the color and style. In addition, houses with vinyl siding costs less to you. Vinyl siding is easy to purchase and easy to find. You can build you vinyl sided house in no time because installation is quick. With a brick home, the bricks tend to loosen after years of weathering and replacing a loose brick is difficult because you may not find bricks that match your home easily. With vinyl siding, replacing a panel is not nearly as difficult. In any case, you should consider both the brick and vinyl siding options because they yield different benefits and costs.
