Flash Gordon was made immortal by the Queen song and the film Flash Gordon. Hector was made immortal by Homer and the film Troy... I assume more people have watched Troy but the main focus of it is Achilles and so for that reason I would say Flash. First all Flash Gordon has been around for a whole lot longer than the movie that featured the song by Queen. He started out as a comic strip, became a comic magazine and has had several movie made around him. Despite this and the rather large number of people that have heard of him. His fame doesn't begin to match the amount of time that Hector has been in the Bronze age epic of the Iliad. I would have to say that the smaller amount of literate people multiplied by the centuries of Hector's fame exceeds the same formula when applied to Flash Gordon.
