A rate is a change in time. The examples are speed [m/s], inflation rate [% per year], etc. Volume is in m^3 -- no time information. You have to go to flow rate to get that -- the unit will be [m^3/s]

Is volume an example of rate?

No, volume is not an example of rate. Volume is a measure of the amount of space occupied by an object or substance, while rate is a measure of how something changes over time. Volume does not involve a time component like rate does.

How do you find flow rate given volume and time?

The flow rate is simply the volume moved in a specific time; divide the volume by the time.

What is the difference between crime rate and crime volume?

What is relation between tidal volume minute volume and breath rate?

Minute volume is calculated by multiplying tidal volume by breath rate. Tidal volume is the amount of air inhaled or exhaled in one breath, while breath rate is the number of breaths taken per minute. By multiplying tidal volume and breath rate, you can determine the amount of air exchanged in one minute.

What are the two factors of cardiac output?

The stroke volume and the heart rate. The stroke volume is the volume of your blood and heart rate is how many beats there are per minute.

Describe the relationship between stroke volume and pump rate?

As stroke volume increases, pump rate decreases. This is an inverse relationship.

How do you work out minute ventilation volume?

tidal volume x breathing rate

What happens to the pump rate when you increase the stroke volume?

When you increase the stroke volume, the pump rate can decrease. This is known as the Frank-Starling mechanism, where the heart adjusts its rate based on the volume of blood returning to it. The increased stroke volume leads to more efficient pumping, allowing the heart to beat at a slightly slower rate to maintain cardiac output.
