Wars are definitely not a good way to end conflict. Because, in wars many innocent people die. Also, so-many resources are wasted.

No, wars are not a good way to end conflict between two countries or individual. Wars bring destruction and nothing else. It results in the loss of resources as well as lives. Wars are not the solution of any conflict. Mutual understanding and conversation are the basis of better results for any conflict. Wars bring down the economic conditions of the country as well. Throughout the history, no war has ever ended a conflict. One war has either led to another war or cold war or war-like circumstances. So wars are not at all a good way to end conflicts between countries or individuals. Gandhi won a war without even fighting one.
He wanted to end the conflicts with Mexico over Texas and California in a way favorable to the United States.
They would not be my first choice, however, there are times when war is an appropriate means of resolving a conflict. Remember that wars are expensive, they get people killed and countries destroyed. If there is another way of resolving the conflict, that should be considered first.

In the early 90's, there was a civil war in what was once Yugoslavia. This war ended with the Dayton Peace Accord in 1995. These conflicts are not in any way connected with the conflict Serbia/Kosovo in 1999, which was of completely different nature.
A good way to solve conflicts is to compromise. :)
No, not at all. Many conflicts have been solved without war. History remembers the wars, but the almost-wars are less memorable, to say nothing of the conflicts which have been settled without even the threat of war. For example, there was a conflict between the US and Great Britain in the 19th Century over where to draw the US-Canadian border, and although there was some talk of war, it never happened.
The reason World War 2 had to end the way it did was because there was no other way to end the war. So many people were being killed and neither side would serrender.
wars are not a good way to resolve conflicts because children are orphaned , women are widowed . It dries up the kindness in peoples heart and turns them into worthless brutes . it is doom and destruction for those who wage it and for those who survive it. hence universal brotherhood must be encouraged amongst the people
It was the beginning of the end for Imperialism, which may be regarded as good by some. It also led to improvements in aviation, communication, etc.
