It is a renewable energy source because we can make more of it in our lifetime. A nonrenewable energy source is one like oil, coal or gas because they are formed over millions of years and we cannot make more coal in our lifetime.

Whereas wave power is always there and doesn't take millions of years to form. We can make more in our life time.

It also gives out less harmful emissions than burning fossil fuels.

Wind is a constantly renewable source of energy.
Wind energy is renewable because it harnesses the earth's natural winds. Wind power does not consume anything to be produced. It is the same basic concept as hydroelectric power.

Is Hydrogen a renewable or nonrenewable energy source?

Hydrogen is a nonrenewable source of energy when used for nuclear fusion (which is still not a technologically attainable power generation mechanism). When used as an energy carrier for oxidation (e.g. fuel cell, and internal combustion engine) hydrogen is not an energy source. In such applications, hydrogen is a man-made resource.

Is nuclear energy renewable or non renewable?

Nuclear energy is classified as a nonrenewable energy source. This is because the nuclear fuel used in power plants (such as uranium or plutonium) is a finite resource that can eventually run out.

What is nonrenewable energy resource?

Any source of energy that we cannot reproduce in a reasonable amount of time is considered nonrenewable. For instance, oil is considered to be nonrenewable because humans cannot make more of it. The opposite, renewable resources, are things like wind power, solar power, and hydroelectric power.

Is wave energy a renewable source of energy?

Yes, wave energy (hydro-power) is a renewable source of energy.

Is it possible for homes to use only renewable energy instead of nonrenewable energy?

Look at homes in Iceland, they are not dependent on nonrenewable sources. Iceland uses geothermal energy and hydropower for its main source of power. It is possible to build a home that is only dependent on renewable energy source however you must take into account the location of the home as certain renewable energies will be in abundance in some locations whilst in other that will not be the case.

Is a light bulb non renewable?
