The word 'wacky' (no 'h') is an adjective; a word that describes a noun as absurd, amusingly eccentric, or irrational. Examples are a wacky idea, a wacky comedian.

The word 'whack' (with 'h') is both a verb and a noun:

  • Forms of the verb are whack, whacks, whacking, whacked; to strike or cut off with a blow. Example: Just whack off the branches that have no leaves.
  • forms of the noun are whack and whacks; a resounding blow, or the sound of or like the sound of a blow; a critical attack. Example: I saw the car come up the drive, then I heard a whack like it hit something.
